unsportsmanlike people

i have been playing badminton for the past few years and over the years become good at it, not as good as someone who would spend half their day playing badminton, but good enough to enjoy it, to notice/learn/master the small details. there have been times where i experienced a zone during some rallies, and it's not an unfamiliar thing to me.

over time i have learnt that matches and points matter much less than the game itself, the moments you spend in the dance with the opponent expressing various emotions through smashes, slow rallies and through deceptions. but not everyone feels it, only a small minority.

i have seen a lot of unsportsmanlike people who would hoot and shot during the matches without any reason. they would wrongly report in shots as out and won't agree with your judgements in your back court.

i had an argument with such a pair while playing doubles today. i think the best course of action in such situations is to just avoid such players, they have no sense of respect for either the sport or the players, they just want to "...god knows what...". i would just refuse to play against them from now on, it just ruins the mood.
